We tailor each appointment to your specific needs, and we strive to develop personal relationships with all of our patients and their families.

What To Expect

At Your First Appointment

The details of an initial appointment at Light and Conforti DMDs will vary depending on the age of the patient. For younger children who don’t have all of their primary teeth, our team will perform a gentle examination and cleaning, and make sure oral development is on the right track. For older patients who have all of their permanent teeth, a standard cleaning and examination will be performed, and we will check your mouth for signs of issues like gum disease, cavities, and oral cancer. We may also suggest x-rays to ensure that every small issue is inspected with the proper diagnostic tools.

Efficient, Convenient Imaging

Digital X-Rays

Modern dental technology makes even routine appointments more convenient and comfortable. Digital x-rays allow us to take highly detailed, accurate images of your teeth, gums, and oral tissue within seconds. This results in less exposure to radiation, and it also means that you’ll spend less time in the dentist’s chair.

Preserve Your Smile

Hygiene & Cleanings

Regular six-month teeth cleanings are critical for the health of your mouth. With our high-powered brushes and professional-grade tools, our team is able to remove plaque and tartar that you can’t reach with brushing and flossing alone. Schedule your next appointment today to ensure that you maintain optimal dental health!

Reverse Tooth Decay

Fluoride Treatments

Minor cases of decay result in “soft spots” in your tooth enamel. If left untreated, these can turn into full-blown cavities. Fluoride treatments help rebuild and strengthen the outer layer of your enamel, preventing cavities and saving you from restorative treatment to correct the issue later down the road.

Keep Little Smiles Healthy

Pediatric Care

According to the American Dental Association, you should bring your child in for their first dental appointment when they turn one year old or when their first tooth erupts, whichever comes first. Routine appointments from a young age will help us track their oral development and ensure that their smiles stay in great shape.

Protect Teeth from Cavities

Dental Sealants

This treatment is fast and completely non-invasive. During the procedure, one of our dentists will apply a special type of liquid dental resin onto your rear molars. The liquid quickly hardens and creates a strong, clear barrier that protects your teeth from direct contact with acid, oral bacteria, and food debris. In turn, this helps prevent cavities from forming on teeth that are particularly susceptible to this common issue.

Prevent and Reverse Gum Disease

Periodontal Care

Gum disease is a common issue in America, affecting about half of adults in the country. Periodontal disease occurs when bacteria begin to infect the gums, attacking the tissue and jawbone. The most common form of gum disease is called “gingivitis”, and symptoms include bleeding when brushing and flossing, bad breath, increased tooth sensitivity, and inflamed or dark gums. We offer expert care like deep cleanings (also called scaling and root planing) and antibiotic treatments to halt and reverse this common disease.
